A man accused in the "senseless" death of a Metro bus passenger could face life in prison if convicted, according to prosecutors.

Joshua Ervin, 30, was indicted on murder, felonious assault and weapons charges on Thursday, prosecutors said. He is a suspect in the death of Neko Larkin.

"The death of innocent people in our community due to gunfire is senseless and unacceptable," Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor Stacey DeGraffenreid said in a statement.

Larkin, 21, was on a Metro bus on his way home from work when he was fatally shot. The bus driver drove Larkin to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Larkin was on the bus when Ervin and a still uncharged suspect fired multiple shots at each other, prosecutors said.

Another Metro passenger was injured in the Aug. 17 shooting.

If convicted of all charges, Ervin faces the possibility of life in prison, DeGraffenreid said.

DeGraffenreid said the other suspect involved in the gunfight is "uncharged."

Nichols Hills police are searching for a man accused of racking up thousands of dollars' worth of charges on stolen cards last week at an electronics store. Police said the man was caught on camera following the victim into a local gym before taking his keys, getting into his car and stealing three of His credit cards. Shortly after, another camera captured the man at an electronics store off May Avenue with a basket full of computers totaling around $6,000."It does appear that this is not the first time, and this may be what he just does around the metro area," Nichols Hills police Detective Brandon Ridgeway told KOCO 5.
