In addition to the four men who died, two men and a woman were also shot. Police said they are being treated at area hospitals and are expected to survive,. An eighth person suffered a leg injury while fleeing the scene.

The men and women shot range in age from 32 to 49, police said at a press conference Saturday morning.

They have not yet been identified, but at least two of them are from out of state, police said. The rest are believed to be from Brooklyn.

The shooting unfolded around 7 a.m. at 74 Utica Ave. in Crown Heights. There were a minimum of 15 people inside the illegal gambling den at the time of the shooting, police said.

NYPD Chief Dermot Shea said it was a "chaotic scene" inside the first floor of the location, with at least two guns recovered and 15 shots fired. Shea described it as "sparsely decorated," with evidence of illegal gambling, including cards and dice, but no evidence of alcohol consumption.

The gun recovered included a 9mm handgun and a revolver, and Shea said he "wouldn't be surprised" if detectives found more.

Police say four people were killed and three others wounded inside an illegal gambling site in Brooklyn . The shooting happened just before 7 a.m. Saturday. An NYPD spokesman says police responding to a call about shots fired just before 7 a.m. Saturday found four men dead at the scene.

Police said there have been no complaints of gambling at the location, which is only a few blocks from the 77 precinct stationhouse.

Crime scene tape surrounded the building and police vehicles lined the block as investigators looked for clues.

No arrests have been made.

Man and woman found dead in Kansas City home .
Kansas City Police say a man and woman were found dead at a home in the 400 block of Oakley Avenue Sunday night. Officers were dispatched to the shooting at 8:15 p.m. Police found the two adults, who had been shot. They were both declared dead at the scene. Detectives are processing the scene for evidence and speaking with people in the area to try to figure out what lead up to the shooting. It's not clear yet what the relationship was between the man and woman or if they lived at the home where they were found. Detectives say they believe all people involved were at the scene and they are not looking for additional suspects.
