Police arrest 15-year-old in shooting after high school football game that left 1 paralyzed, 1 hurt
Atlanta Police say they've arrested a 15-year-old in the shooting of two juveniles following a high school football game at Lakewood Stadium in August. Investigators were able to develop enough evidence to secure arrest warrants for the teen, whose name is not being released. He is being charged with aggravated assault. He was taken into custody on Oct. 14 without incident by APD's Fugitive Unit. He was transported to the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta.
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) — Police say a shooting at a high school in Northern California has injured one person and set off a search for the suspect.
Santa Rosa police Sgt. Summer Gloeckner told thenewspaper that it "doesn't appear to be an active shooter situation."
She says a male victim was injured and being treated at a hospital but didn't release more details about his condition.
Gloeckner says the shooting happened Tuesday morning on the campus of Ridgway High School in Santa Rosa, about 55 miles (89 kilometers) north of San Francisco.
Officials have locked down the school, as well as nearby Santa Rosa High School and the Santa Rosa Junior College.
School district officials couldn't immediately be reached.
Two boys stabbed in Silver Spring, suspect arrested .
Montgomery County police are investigating a double stabbing that injured two boys in Silver Spring, Maryland. Police said the assault happened on the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive on Tuesday evening. One of the victims suffered serious injuries and the other victim had non-life threatening injuries. Officials said both of the boys were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities were able to arrest a suspect following the incident. Police said there are no outstanding suspects as they continue to investigate the incident.
