  Man Convicted in Murder of Law Professor Locked in Family Feud The killing shook Florida’s capital and stunned the international legal community: A prominent law professor locked in a rancorous battle with his ex-wife and in-laws was gunned down in his garage, in what prosecutors depicted as a murder-for-hire plot. State prosecutors charged three people with the murder of the professor, Dan Markel, hoping to pressure them into revealing whoever may have financed the murder.

A 29-year-old man was charged in connection to the death of a 3-year-old boy fatally shot himself with a gun that was dropped on the ground in Clinton Township .

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A 21-year-old Clinton Township man has been charged in a fatal shooting in the bathroon at a Roseville bar.

Nolan Baca was arraigned in 39th District Court Tuesday on the following counts: Second degree murder, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon, according to Roseville police.

Bond was denied.

Investigators said a 37-year-old Harrison Township man was fatally shot just before 1 a.m. Sunday at Dooley's Irish Tavern, on Gratiot Ave. south of 14 Mile Rd.

Police said the suspect and the victim were in the bathroom when they got into an argument that quickly turned physical. That's when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the other man.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the alleged gunman disarmed and being held at gunpoint by another bar patron, police said. The victim was found dead in the bathroom and the suspect was arrested.

The victim's name is being withheld at this time.

Other details, including if or how the men knew each other and what they were arguing about, remain unclear.

Baca will remain held in the Macomb County Jail will he awaiting his next court appearance, set for Oct. 30.
