  Retired US Army lieutenant, off-duty firefighter detain armed robbery suspect at Modesto bar A retired United States Army lieutenant and an off-duty firefighter are being credited for stopping an armed robbery suspect at a Modesto bar Monday night. Around 9:45 p.m., Modesto police received calls about a man with a gun entering the Tap Room Pub and Grub located on Sylvan Avenue and Claus Road. Police said the suspect fired what turned out to be a pellet gun towards the bar ceiling.Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Derek Hudson and off-duty Modesto firefighter John Walker tackled and detained the suspect, now identified as 18-year-old Justyn Wesson, until police arrived.

San Antonio Police are looking for two people who they say robbed a convenience store back on Sunday.

The suspects reportedly robbed the Sam’s Corner Food Mart on Cincinnati Ave. Police hope surveillance pictures can help identify the two males, who they say are between the ages of 17 and 21.

Suspect sought in Dormont theater, gas station robberies .
Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Hollywood Theater and a gas station in Dormont this week. Dormont police said a man robbed the Exxon gas station on West Liberty Avenue Tuesday night and the Hollywood Theater at 1449 Potomac Ave. on Wednesday A teenager who was working behind the concession counter at the theater when the suspect walked in around 6 p.m. Wednesday and demanded money. “The guy walks in, walks really fast, has one hand in his pocket, slides a note on the counter and the next thing I know I’m giving him my money, very scary,” the worker, Ian Spottiswood, 17, told Pittsburgh Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV.
