  Police: Wanted fugitive repeatedly rams Iowa police car with stolen vehicle Council Bluffs police say a fugitive is still on the loose after stealing a vehicle and hitting an unmarked police car. Officers with the Council Bluffs Police Department and U.S marshals were searching for Jamie Kennedy, 29, and located him in a stolen vehicle Tuesday near Avenue F and 26th Street, police said. KETV reports Kennedy was parked in front of another vehicle in a driveway. When he was approached, he rammed as Council Bluffs officer’s car numerous times. Police said the officer was out of his vehicle and was taking cover behind his car at the time. A “help an officer” was called and other officers arrived at the scene, police said.

The 7- year - old girl who was shot in Lancaster City Tuesday night was hit by at least three or four bullets but is showing signs of recovering, the police chief said this afternoon.

A 12-year-old girl was hit Thursday morning by a Northern Lancaster County Regional police vehicle, police said.

Police said the officer was turning left onto King Street from Plum Street in Lancaster, and the driver traveling in the opposite direction gave the officer the go-ahead to turn.

The officer didn't see the girl in the crosswalk, according to police.

Police said the girl was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

According to police, the officer will get a traffic citation.

MIDTOWN, Manhattan — A 61-year-old man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle in Manhattan Thursday night, police said. The man was crossing the street along 40th Street and Eighth Avenue when he was struck just before 11:30 p.m., police said. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, cops said. The incident appears to be accidental, police said. According to authorities, the victim apparently fainted in front of the vehicle and was subsequently hit. The 25-year-old Lyft driver was pulled over by cops about three blocks away and was taken into custody for leaving the scene, according to police.
