PHILADELPHIA — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of opening fire in Germantown Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the shooting occurred at about 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 on the 700 block of East Locust Avenue.
Two men were fighting in the area at that time and both fell to the ground, police said.
During the altercation, one of the men pulled out a handgun, stood up, then started shooting at the man he was fighting with, police said.
Police said it's unclear if anyone was shot after checking area hospitals for shooting victims.
Investigators believe shots were also fired back at the original shooter.

A 31-year-old man was killed in a shooting Thursday evening in East Germantown , police said. The victim was shot multiple times around 5:31 p.m. on the 5600 block of Ogontz Avenue. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center by police and pronounced dead at 6:03 p.m.
