MIAMI BEACH, FL — A 48-year-old Virginia man was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly damaging someone's vehicle and assaulting two Miami Beach police officers.

Erik L. Maliksi of Penhookl was arrested at 47 Street and Collins Avenue around 7:40 a.m. Court documents said police found a crack pipe in Maliksi's fanny pack with possible cocaine residue.

Maliksi allegedly broke a bottle over the head of one police officer and punched a second officer in the face.
