  Man found shot to death in field on Cleveland’s East Side, police say CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A man was found shot to death Wednesday morning in a field in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood, police said. Cleveland police responded to a call about 9 a.m. on East 93rd Street near Empire Avenue and found the man with a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the man’s name once his family has been notified.Homicide detectives are investigating the incident. Police have not released any more details.More than a dozen police cruisers and medical examiner’s vehicles remained at the scene after 10:30 a.m.

A 35-year-old man was shot and killed Friday night in Roslindale one day after another man was fatally shot in the same Boston neighborhood, according to police.

The Boston Police Department said Friday night's shooting happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the area of 35 Paine St.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was found dead by Boston Emergency Medical Services when it responded to the scene, which is near Mt. Hope Cemetery.

K-9 units from the Boston Police Department were brought in to investigate the shooting scene.

Boston Police Commissioner William Gross and Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins were also at the scene.

On Thursday, one man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in the area of 581 American Legion Highway, which is less than a half-mile away from the deadly shooting on Paine Street.

Police said they responded to the scene just after 2 p.m. and found two men suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.

One victim was later pronounced dead, while the other was being treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not yet identified either suspect.

Suspect charged after shooting man in leg, deputies say .
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office released the name of a man who they say shot another man in the leg Saturday afternoon. Torrie L. Smith, 24, allegedly shot a man in the right leg after an argument, according to Master Deputy Darren Dukes with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. Sign up for our Newsletters Dukes said Smith used a 9 mm handgun that he wasn't authorized by law to use. According to the police report, Smith was arrested and charged for attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful carrying of a pistol, and malicious injury to property.Deputies said they were called to the Tire Corral on Seminole Drive around 2 p.m.
