Keriesha Majors faces a criminal homicide charge stemming from the fatal shooting of Kaylin Smith in the Bordeaux neighborhood. A Metro Nashville police investigation found the women were visiting an apartment Sunday morning when an argument turned physical. Smith was killed after she and Majors stepped outside, police said in a news release on Sunday. Majors left the scene but later surrendered to officers downtown, police said. She is jailed on a $600,000 bond.
Metro Nashville police arrested a woman over the weekend after they say she stabbed her husband because he refused to sign divorce papers.
Dwanna Evans, 38, is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the altercation that took place this summer.
According to an arrest affidavit, on Aug. 10, the woman's husband told officers was he sitting in his car at their apartment in the 5500 block of Scruggs Lane smoking marijuana when his wife approached the vehicle and began to argue with him.
The victim said his wife wanted him to sign divorce papers, but he refused.

He said his wife went into their home and returned a short time later, approaching the driver's side door.
The victim said she began to jab at him with a knife, stabbed him in the forearm, and then left.
Evans was arrested Sunday and booked into jail, and posted a $10,000 bond on Monday.
She is set to appear in Davidson County General Sessions court on Nov. 12 for a hearing on the charge.
