Three Greenville County middle school students face criminal charges and expulsion after making lists of students and staff they wanted to harm, according to the Greenville County School District.

Beth Brotherton, district director of communications, said Woodmont Middle School administrators were alerted to the two lists last week.

School officials immediately called law enforcement officers, Brotherton said.

  Accused shooter at Hunt County party makes first court appearance Brandon Gonzales appeared in court Wednesday morning. Gonzales, 23, is accused of killing two people and injuring a dozen others in a Saturday night shooting at The Party Venue in Hunt County.

The three students accused of authoring one or both of the lists are suspended, recommended for an expulsion hearing and are facing student threats charges from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Brotherton said.

She said school administrators alerted the parents of students who were named on the lists.

A schoolwide message to parents was sent out on Friday, Brotherton said.
