Kimberly Frawley suffered fractures to her skull, face and neck and needed extensive surgery and rehabilitation after she was struck by the debris on that fell from a building on Atlantic Avenue, according to court documents.

Frawley filed a lawsuit Thursday against Corolla Contracting -- the company responsible for that project.

"She's out innocently walking one morning. She went from having a normal life to a very difficult life, and we don't know if she'll ever be back to normal," her lawyer told the Herald.

Corolla Contracting is accused of failing to secure the railing.

The company was ordered to stop work at that site and several other work sites after the incident.

Woman killed after falling out of car during argument with husband on North Freeway .
A woman was struck and killed after falling out of a car on North Freeway, according to Houston police. The incident occurred at 1 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Freeway near 610. Police say that the woman was reportedly upset with her husband and the couple began to argue while driving home. According to authorities, she began to crawl out of the moving car during their dispute, and then suddenly fell out of the car. The woman was then struck by another driver and pronounced dead on the scene.  A second crash occurred when someone struck one of the people who tried to render aid during the accident.
