Baltimore police on Tuesday released video captured during the officer-involved shooting last month that left a man dead.

John Thomas Feggins, 24, of Philadelphia, was shot by police Oct. 30 in the Rite Aid parking lot in the 6300 block of York Road.

Police identified the officers in the shooting as Officer Ryan Glass, who has been a member of the BPD since 2005, and Officer Joel Hawk, who has been a member of the BPD since 1999. Police said both officers are assigned to the Northern District.

Hayward police released body-cam footage Friday of a fatal officer - involved shooting of a suspect last November. Wilson Walker reports.

Deputy Commissioner Brian Nadeau, of the Public Integrity Bureau, held a press conference Tuesday, saying there was surveillance video from the Rite Aid and some body camera video.

Nadeau said body camera video from the first responding officer, Glass, "was disabled as he was attacked by the suspect."

The body camera video from the second responding officer, Hawk, was not activated until just after the shooting. Nadeau said police believe the delay was because of Hawk's rush to come to the aid of his fellow officer.

On the day of the shooting, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said a Regional Auto Theft Task Force detective spotted a vehicle matching a description of a car wanted in connection with an Oct. 9 robbery at the Horseshoe Casino. The officer ordered the driver out of the car and learned the driver was a person of interest in the Oct. 9 robbery.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina — Winston-Salem Police have released video from a March 30, deadly officer - involved shooting following a traffic stop.

Harrison said video showed the suspect lunging at the officer with a gun in his hand. A struggle ensued over the gun, Harrison said.

"We believe there were three shots fired total. We found three casings at the scene," Nadeau said.

The officers, who were slightly injured during the incident, were placed on administrative leave, and an investigation continues. Nadeau said investigators have not interviewed the officers yet and will not do so until the officers are back from administrative duty and the department has spoken with the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office.
