A man has been arrested after being accused of purchasing a vehicle using another person's identity.

According to an arrest slip, Harold Stewart obtained a fake Georgia license and used it to purchase a 2016 Cadillac Escalade from Browns Bros. Cadillac.

Officials said Stewart was able to get the $60,000 vehicle financed through GMC Financing.

The arrest slip said after obtaining the vehicle, Brown Bros. learned the person whose name was on the license lives in Washington and had no knowledge of the purchase.

Through investigation, officials were able to obtain Stewart's real name and compare his Kentucky operator's license with the photo on the Georgia license, officials said.
