  Mega-rally marks Chile protests third week as president struggles Protesters in Chile clashed with police, looted stores and endured a strong earthquake at the close of a huge rally kicking off the third week of anti-government demonstrations that have sparked deadly unrest. Tens of thousands of people gathered in Plaza de Italia, the epicenter of the unrest over economic inequality and other woes, and tried to march on the presidential palace in downtown Santiago. Fights broke out with police trying to contain them, with officers firing water cannons and tear gas. One officer was hit in the face with a Molotov cocktail.People banged pots and pans and blared the horns of their cars as night fell in Santiago.

South Fremont High School is a four-year public secondary school in St. Anthony, Idaho, one of two high schools in the Fremont School District #215. The school colors are red and black and the mascot is a cougar. They are classified as a 3A school .

A large police presence descended on a high school in South Los Angeles Tuesday morning as police tried to disperse crowding students following several reports of "volatile" unrest on campus.

Multiple fights broke out on the Fremont High School campus on San Pedro Street around 11 a.m., with rocks and bottles being thrown, according the Los Angeles Police Department 77th Division. Officers who responded to the school put out a call for help and formed a scrimmage line outside the campus.

According to Los Angeles Unified School District school police, a demonstration on campus escalated into students leaving, which caused a disturbance. Students then began throwing stuff at officers, school police said. More than a dozen police units were seen parked outside the school.

It's unclear what prompted the unrest. No injuries or arrests have been reported.

AR-15 rifle found, student arrested after threat on South L.A. school, sheriff says .
Two people, including a student, have been arrested in connection with a serious threat against a South Los Angeles middle school, and an AR-15 assault rifle and a list of targeted students have been seized, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Friday. The threat was made against Ánimo Mae Jemison Charter Middle School in Willowbrook, an independent charter school where Los Angeles School Police do not have a presence, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rudy Perez said.Sheriff’s officials provided few details about the investigation but said more information would be released at an 11:30 a.m. news conference.
