A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Dunkin' Donuts in North York, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
Tia Marie Landis, of the 700 block of Cassel Road in Newberry Township, faces charges of robbery, theft and receiving stolen property, a news release states. She was taken to York County Central Booking to be arraigned.
Police responded to the doughnut shop in the 1300 block of North George Street around 12:37 a.m. Tuesday. No one was injured.
Police allege that Landis went behind the counter and took the cash drawer out of the register. She was wearing a gray hoodie, a bandana mask and gloves at the time.
Phoenix police shoot armed robbery suspect
No officers were injured in a shooting that occurred near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m., in the area of 4 Police were called to the area and found a man with a knife in a parking lot near a Home Depot and a Carl's Jr. restaurant, Phoenix police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said.The man refused officers' repeated orders to drop the weapon, and moved toward the officers, prompting an officer to fire her weapon at the suspect, she said.
Landis took off in a gold Pontiac SUV, which headed north, the release states.
Officer Erika Eiker, who was on patrol in the area, spotted the vehicle and trapped it in a parking lot in the 1300 block of North George. Landis was taken into custody without incident just a couple of minutes after the robbery, police said.
Police found the cash drawer, cash, mask, and gloves in or around the vehicle, the release states.
