Accused serial rapist tied to ninth victim, attacked this year

Accused serial rapist tied to ninth victim, attacked this year A 60-count indictment against alleged Clayton County serial rapist Kenneth Bowen links a ninth victim, assaulted earlier this year, to the string of attacks. Clayton County Police have not previously attributed attacks earlier this year to the serial rapist, whom police now say is Bowen - a former military member and Clayton County Police recruit - after arresting him in August. At a preliminary hearing in September, Bowen faced charges related to eight attacks. The Clayton County Superior Court grand jury indictment released on Wednesday now charges him with a ninth, which occurred in Jonesboro in July.RELATED: An alleged serial rapist is in custody.

Hayes was recently identified as the suspect in the murder of a woman in Palm Beach County in 2016 through DNA and genetic genealogy.

That same DNA was a match to two of three serial killing suspects in Daytona Beach - Laquetta Gunther in 2005 and Julie Green in 2006.

Officials said ballistics links Hayes to the murder of the third serial killer victim in 2006 - Iwana Patton.

A fourth woman, Stacey Gage, who was discovered badly decomposed in Daytona Beach in early 2008, was likely killed in late 2007 under similar circumstances.
