Woman shot in the head during West Dallas carjacking, police say
A woman is expected to survive after she was shot during a carjacking in West Dallas early Sunday, a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department said. Two male suspects allegedly shot her around 4 a.m. Sunday, officials said, while stealing her car on the 3300 block of Weisenberger Drive.
A drive-by shooting in Southeast Oak Cliff on Sunday night sent two people to the hospital with gunshot wounds, Dallas police said.
A 32-year-old woman was shot in her lower back and a 61-year-old man was shot in his right arm when people driving in a vehicle on the 3500 block of Simpson Stuart Road started shooting, according to police.
Multiple people reported the shooting to police shortly before 10 p.m. A 50-year-old woman and 9-year-old girl were also on the scene of the shooting.
They had been sitting in a vehicle at the shooting location. Neither of them were shot, although the vehicle they were in was hit during the shooting.

2 dead, 1 hospitalized in southeast Houston triple shooting .
Two people are dead and a third person is in the hospital after a triple shooting inside a home in Houston's Brookhaven area early Wednesday. Officers were called to the home in the 3800 block of Rosemont Street shortly after 5 a.m. to reports of three people shot. Paramedics pronounced two victims dead in the southeast Houston home while a third was rushed to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition. The suspected shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, according to police.No other information was available. Check back for updates as they come in.Jay R.
