Detroit police say around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, three men were sitting inside a car on Manor -- near Fenkell Avenue and Meyers Road on the city's west side -- when another car pulled up and someone inside opened fire. Authorities say a man is his 20s was shot and killed, while two others inside the vehicle were struck and taken to the hospital, where they were listed in temporary serious condition. Police did not release any of the victims' names, but said they were all in their mid-20s.

David Brown died in the shooting that happened about 1 a.m. at the Wash-N-Dry Laundromat on Broadway Avenue, according to police.

A “person of interest” was taken into custody, but formal charges have not been filed in the case, according to police.

Police have not released that person’s identity.

The shooter and Brown argued inside the laundromat and police found Brown dead inside, according to Maple Heights police.

Case of Maple Heights laundromat slaying headed to grand jury .
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A grand jury will hear evidence in the case of an East Cleveland man accused in the slaying of a Maple Heights laundromat worker. Carl Sanders appeared via video from the Cuyahoga County Jail for his initial court appearance in the Dec. 2 death of 73-year-old Dave Brown. Common Pleas Court Judge Sherrie Miday kept Sanders’ bond at $1 million and assigned attorney James McDonald to represent him.Sanders is being held on charges of aggravated murder and weapons violation.Sanders attacked a group of women about 1 a.m. inside the Wash-N-Dry laundromat on Broadway Avenue with a weapon, Maple Heights police said.
