In court Monday morning, Judge Sheila Calloway agreed to delay the hearing following the escape. She set a new date in January, hoping that would give police enough time to find Wright and take him back into custody.

Wright is one of five youths accused in the February shooting death of Yorlets outside his home on Torbett Street. Wright was recorded telling one of the other suspects he shot Yorlets, according to court records.

Prosecutors said they were investigating the possibility that the female co-defendant collaborated to help Wright escape, although they did not provide any details in court.
