  Lowndes County Sheriff John Williams killed over loud music, witnesses and police say Sheriff John Williams asked why the music was so loud, then he was shot in the head, a witness said.About 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Williams was shot at the QV convenience store near the Lowndes County Courthouse on the downtown square in Hayneville. Law enforcement apprehended the suspect William Chase Johnson, 18, after a nearly four-hour search when he walked up to the shooting scene about 12:05 a.m. Sunday with a firearm in his hand and was taken into custody after the manhunt.

UPDATE: The York County coroner's office has identified the victim as Andre White Jr., 22, of Carlisle, Cumberland County.

What we know

- The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Monday.

- West Manchester Township police say two victims were found at the scene and taken to York Hospital. Andre White Jr. died. A second person, identified only as a female, was wounded.

"A single shooter was involved in the incident," police said in a statement. "The suspect fled the movie theater complex after the shooting occurred."

- Police say their investigation is in the early stages. They also said that they do not believe this was a random shooting.

"There is no indication that there is any additional danger to patrons of the center or other commercial areas at the Town Center," police said.

- Employees told WGAL they were inside the building when the shooting happened, but not in the actual theater where it happened.

- After the shooting, employees and customers evacuated and police secured the scene.
