Alabama sheriff killed: Suspect is sheriff deputy's son
The 18-year-old suspect arrested in the shooting death of Alabama sheriff "Big John" Williams is the son of a Montgomery County sheriff's deputy, the county sheriff's department told CNN.William Chase Johnson was arrested around midnight Saturday after returning to the same gas station where Lowndes County Sheriff Williams was shot, Sgt. Steve Jarrett said. A handgun was taken from him, Jarrett said.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's office is investigating a fight turned shooting that happened outside of a post office in Lovettsville, Virginia.
Police said the altercation happened in the parking of a post office on North Church Street.
One person was shot as a result of the incident. Officials said the shooter stayed at the scene.
The shooting victim has been taken to an area hospital where their condition is unknown at this time.

One person shot at plant in Conyers; police searching for gunman .
A significant law enforcement response has deployed to a plant in Conyers after a person was shot in a situation the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office says remains active. Authorities continue to look for a gunman after the person was shot at the Dart Container Corporation plant, the sheriff's office said. They said a person entered the plant and shot an employee there. The Associated Press reports a Dart statement says the shooting happened at 7 a.m. and that the building was evacuated.In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office said a person of interest was identified.
