Man fatally shot in head outside home, sources say
Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man outside a west side home Friday night, sources tell The Enterprise. Officers responded to 10 Shaw Road for a report of a person shot about 9:05 p.m. Sign up for our Newsletters The man was fatally shot in the head, the sources said. Detectives and patrol officers could be seen using flashlights in the driveway next to the home. Police placed a small makeshift wall in the driveway to shield the victim’s body from view as they investigated at the scene.Video from WCVB shows the Brockton Police Department's gang unit was at the scene.

Homicide detectives launched an investigation after a man was found shot to death in a car in Alhambra.
Deputies received a call at 8 p.m. Saturday about a suspicious vehicle on the 900 block of West Ramona Road.
When sheriff deputies arrived, they discovered a victim inside the car suffering from one gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No motive or suspect description was released.

7-Year-Old Shot On Christmas Day At Family Gathering .
Chicago police said the girl was inside of a residence at a family gathering when an offender fired shots from the sidewalk into the house. She was transported to Stroger hospital for treatment. Police also said a second victim, a 38-year-old man, was shot in connection with this incident and walked into St. Anthony Hospital for treatment. He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and will be transferred to Mt. Sinai. His condition was stabilized. Area Central detectives are investigating and no one is in custody at this time.
