The York County Coroner has been called to the scene of a fire in southern York County Wednesday evening, according to York County 911.

The call came in at about 4:26 p.m. as a structure fire with entrapment.

"Was a pretty routine bedroom fire, that unfortunately turned into a fatality," Eureka Volunteer Fire Department chief Michael Furstoffer said.

An elderly woman living in the apartment building was entrapped during the blaze and was pronounced dead on the scene, Chief Furstoffer said.

It is unknown how many tenants were living inside the apartment building, located at 501 Marsteller Road near the intersection of New Park and Draco Roads in Hopewell Township.
