4-year-old girl found dead in Phoenix apartment fire
Phoenix firefighters found a 4-year-old girl dead after an apartment fire in Phoenix Sunday morning. An adult female is in critical condition and a 10-year-old girl and an adult man are "more stable," Phoenix Fire said.
Deputies are responding to a shooting where three people are dead and a resident is injured after an attempted burglary in Channelview.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary at a trailer home located in the 1800 block of Amie Michele Lane around 10 a.m.
Deputies are at a home in the 1800 block of Amie Michele Ln in Channelview, where 3 males are confirmed dead after an apparent home invasion robbery attempt. A fourth male has been taken to the hospital. PIO is en route and updates will be given from the scene.

That's the same park where Barnard College student Tessa Majors was stabbed to death, though these robberies have not otherwise been connected to her killing. According to police, the two suspects approached a 25-year-old man in the park at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 2 and pulled out a pocket knife. The victim punched one of the suspects in the face and tried to run away, but fell down a set of stairs. Deputies say two men were inside a home when they heard commotion coming from outside. One of the men looked out and saw three suspects dressed in all black trying to break in.
The man exited his room with a shotgun and opened fire on the suspects, shooting three of them.
During an exchange of gunfire with the suspects, the man was also shot. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
"I want to just warn people that if it turns out that you're breaking into somebody's home, regardless of the circumstances, that eventually you're gonna end up dead or you're gonna end up in jail," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

A small plane crashed into a home and a car in the New Carrollton area, killing the pilot, Prince Georges County fire officials said. Fire officials said the plane struck a carport of an unoccupied home and a parked car just before 3 p.m. Sunday in the 6300 block of Chestnut Avenue. Fire officials said the car and part of the house caught fire.
