MIAMI, FL — The FBI is looking for two bank robbers who held up two Miami banks within 25 minutes of one another on Monday.

The first robbery took place at 2:59 p.m. at a Bank of America branch located at 2655 NW 54th Street in Miami.

"A robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

Leverock and Marshall said the second robbery took place at 3:22 p.m. Monday at a Chase Bank branch located at 801 SW 27 Ave. in Miami.

In both incidents "a robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," Leverock and Marshall said.

No one was injured during either of the robberies.

Leverock and Marshall said the FBI was not releasing the amount of money taken from either bank.

The FBI released photographs of both robbers taken from surveillance cameras.

Eastpointe Family Dollar Robbed On New Year's Eve .
The search is on for a pair of crooks after a New Year's Eve heist in Eastpointe. Police tell WWJ the Family Dollar store along 9 Mile Road west of Kelly Road was robbed by two men shortly before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say a man armed with a semi-auto handgun approached the clerk and pulled out a gun before taking an undisclosed amount of money from the register. A second suspect stood watch outside the store during the robbery. Police say they arrived at the scene within one minute of receiving the call, but the men had already fled on foot westbound through an alley. A K-9 track of the suspects was unsuccessful and police are still investigating the robbery.
