Girl, 13, killed in North Carolina mall parking lot shooting
A 13-year-old girl was killed in a shooting at a North Carolina mall parking lot and two other juveniles were hurt, police said. Concord police responded to a call about a fight outside a Dave and Buster's at Concord Mills mall Saturday night, police said in a statement. Officers discovered there had been a shooting and that two boys had suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police had said in tweets that the 13-year-old girl died at the scene.Her name was not immediately released. It's unclear what led to the shooting.Concord is a suburb of Charlotte.
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – A man was injured in a shooting near downtown Portland Tuesday morning, according to police.
At 7:54 a.m., officers responded to the area of Northwest Park Avenue and Northwest Flanders Street. It was reported that a man had a gunshot wound.
When officers and medical personnel arrived, they found the man, who was conscious and talking.
The man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
While police investigate the shooting, the area around Northwest Park Avenue between Northwest Davis Street and Northwest Flanders Street is closed.
Two shot, 1 in custody in downtown Portland shooting
Two people were shot and a suspect was taken into custody early Monday morning after gunfire broke out in downtown Portland. Officers were sent at 3:51 a.m. to Northwest Broadway and Flanders Street on a report of a shooting, according to Portland police. Arriving officers took a person into custody and found a victim with several gunshot wounds. That person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A second victim arrived at a hospital via a private party. That person's condition was not available, police said.Investigators placed dozens of evidence markers on the street at the scene. A handgun could also be seen on the pavement.
Police did not release any information on what led up to the shooting nor a suspect description.

Police: Man breaks into Portland apartment, threatens to throw cans at officers .
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – Officers arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly breaking into an occupied apartment and barricading himself inside. Rociel Vazquez forced his way into the apartment near Northeast 109th Avenue and Northeast Wygant Street just after 2 p.m. Monday and refused to leave, according to Portland police. The resident escaped uninjured and contacted officers outside the apartment building. Vazquez refused to communicate with law enforcement and barricaded the door with a heavy bookcase, according to police. Additional officers, including a police dog and the bureau’s Special Emergency Reaction Team, were called in to help.
