  3 people hospitalized after shooting near a hotel in Tysons Corner Three people were injured after a shooting near a hotel in Tysons Corner on New Year's Day, Fairfax County police said. The shooting happened on the 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive in Tysons Corner just before 3 a.m. during a "large gathering of people." A total of three people have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the shooting, police said. Police believe the shooting was not random and there is no threat to the public.At this time, there is no information on a possible suspect. Fairfax County Police are investigating the incident.

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that killed one person, and injured a young child Wednesday afternoon.

That incident happened around 1:30 p.m. in an apartment complex near 20th Street and Wheeling Avenue.

One person was killed. Authorities also say a young child was injured during the incident.

Witnesses said the shooting may have happened during a fight involving or about the child.

Man in court in fatal shooting of Framingham father, son .
A Framingham man was in court Wednesday in the fatal shooting of a man and his son. Aneudy Delgado-Torres, 39, was taken into custody Tuesday at a Marlborough hotel. He was charged with two counts of murder, as well as multiple firearm offenses: possession of a large-capacity magazine, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. James "Manny" Wade, 45, of Framingham, and his 24-year-old son, James Wade, also of Framingham, were killed in a shooting near an apartment complex on the city's south side. Framingham police responded at 11:37 p.m. Friday in the area of Second Street and Beaver Terrace Circle.
