SOUTH KITSAP — The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of a 27-year-old man who allegedly shot his roommate Monday evening at a home on the 5900 block of Sidney Road SW.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman, identified the alleged shooter as Colt Joshua Rodriguez.

Reports of the shooting came in around 5 p.m. Patrol deputies made contact with the woman on scene and she was escorted by sheriff’s patrol vehicle to a waiting South Kitsap Fire and Rescue medic unit.

The woman was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, said KCSO spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson.

A KCSO SWAT team, with assistance from other local law enforcement agencies, secured the scene, but the suspect was not located. Detectives obtained a search warrant and found a short-barrelled shotgun believed to have been used in the shooting.
