“Jennifer did not want to call the police as she was very afraid of her husband and he threatened to take the children permanently to Greece,” the nanny, Lauren Almeida, told police, according to the search warrants, 469 pages that provide a detailed description of law enforcement’s search and seizure requests over the course of their investigation into the disappearance of Farber Dulos.

“Almeida was present to witness Fotis Dulos chasing his wife through the house. She finally came running into the bedroom and slammed the door closed. She braced herself against the door as her husband kept pounding trying to open it. He seemed to calm down when he realized Almeida and one of his children were also in the room,” the documents said.

In June 2017, Almeida told police she found Farber Dulos crying in the driveway of her home.

Husband of missing Conn. woman Jennifer Dulos charged with murder Fotis Dulos was charged Tuesday with her murder, and his girlfriend was arrested on a conspiracy charge. The arrests come after Jennifer Dulos, of New Canaan, disappeared May 24 amid contentious child custody proceedings.State police arrested Fotis Dulos, 52, at his Farmington home. He was being held in lieu of a $6 million bond on felony murder and kidnapping charges. Michelle Traconis was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and her bond was set at $2 million. Both are expected to appear Wednesday in Superior Court.

“Jennifer said that her husband tried to hit her with his vehicle and she needed to jump out of the way,” the documents said.

Dulos, 52, was arrested at his Jefferson Crossing Jan. 7 and charged with felony murder, murder and kidnapping. Farber Dulos, 51, of New Canaan, disappeared May 24 amid contentious child custody proceedings with Dulos. Dulos was released on Jan. 9 after posting a $6 million bond and was ordered to wear a GPS monitor while under house arrest.

Dulos’ former girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, and his friend, Kent Mawhinney, both face charges of conspiracy to commit murder and other charge in connection with Farber Dulos’ disappearance.

There is also a protective order barring Dulos from contacting Almeida, as well as Dulos’ five children and Gloria Farber, their grandmother.

The newly released warrants said a friend of Farber Dulos contacted New Canaan police on May 24 after Farber Dulos missed several doctor’s appointments for herself and her children that day. At the time, Almeida was in New York with four of the five children. The friend found it uncharacteristic of Farber Dulos to cut contact with her children and became concerned for her well-being, given the divorce battle.

Police allege in court documents that Dulos and Troconis went to Hartford to dispose of garbage bags containing items with Farber Dulos’ blood on them.

“We’re beginning our review of the warrants and are relieved to see that the state police were listening to what we had to say,” Dulos’ attorney, Norm Pattis, said Wednesday. “The state dropped its theory that Mr. Dulos was motivated by animus regarding the divorce because it learned we were right — there was no such motive. I am stunned that the police never asked to speak to Mr Dulos. We may well have been able to persuade them to drop the case altogether. We would have sat for an interview . We’re looking forward to the trial and will press for one as quickly as possible.”
