  DA identifies DPW worker shot, killed while working on road A city worker who shot and killed while working on Lawrence street Wednesday has been identified by the Essex District Attorney's Office. Marcos A. Ruiz-Rodriguez, 52, of Methuen, Lawrence Department of Public Works employee, was making road repairs on Andover Street at about 2 p.m. when he was shot, officials said. The shooting happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Andover Street.

Initial reports indicated the victim was rushed to nearby Lawrence General Hospital.

There has been no update on the victim's condition.
