DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help in bringing a 24-year-old woman home to her family.

Police say Shayla Higgins was last seen by a family member around 3 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the 13700 block of Lappin Street, just north of 7 Mile Road and east of Schoenherr Street.

Higgins left the location in a gray Jeep with an unknown person and has not returned, according to police. Family members are concerned because they haven't heard from her since Wednesday.

Police describe Higgins as about 5-foot-3, 145 lbs. with light brown complexion, sandy brown hair and brown eyes. Higgins has a tattoo behind her right ear and she was last seen wearing a green Michigan State hooded sweatshirt, green sweatpants and black gym shoes.

Higgins is in good physical and mental condition, according to police.
