The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured thee people, including two teens early Sunday morning. 

Officials confirm the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Alhamba Road in the city's south Collinwood neighborhood around 4 a.m.

Three males, include a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were taken to University Hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time. 

Police say the shooting is connected to an incident in the 1700 block of Algonac Avenue.

70-year-old shoots man to death, takes his own life while holding child hostage in Cleveland apartment, police say .
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 70-year-old man shot another man and then himself late Sunday as he barricaded himself in his apartment with a young boy, police said. The shooting and hostage situation prompted a SWAT standoff about 11 p.m. Sunday at an apartment building on West 28th Street and Division Avenue in the Ohio City neighborhood, according to police. The 70-year-old man initially holed up inside the apartment with the 12-year-old boy, police said. Officers found the 70-year-old man dead inside the home.The man who suffered a gunshot wound in the home was taken to MetroHealth where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
