Man arrested in connection with fatal Tacoma shooting
Tacoma police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting. Someone called 911 about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday to report a possible shooting at the corner of East L Street and Puyallup Avenue. Passersby helped the victim until officers arrived and started CPR. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. He died shortly afterward. His identity has not been released. Detectives did not release information about what led up to the shooting. On Tuesday night, a man was booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder. He is expected to appear in court Wednesday. This is the city’s second homicide of the year.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The victim of a shooting near Norton Commons Sunday had a history of sex crimes, WAVE 3 News Troubleshooters have learned.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not officially released the name of the victim, but sources told WAVE 3 News he was a registered sex offender.
The body was discovered inside a home on Symington Circle, about five minutes from Norton Commons.
After breaking the news about a homicide investigation Sunday, LMPD later confirmed the victim had been shot.
Police have not made any arrests in the case.

1 shot, killed at front door in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police say .
One person was shot and killed at an east Oak Cliff apartment complex overnight Monday, according to Dallas police. The suspect shot the victim shortly before 1 a.m. as the victim was opening the door of an apartment at Volara Apartments, police at the scene told WFAA. A woman who had called to report the shooting told police her friend had been shot by an unknown person, officials said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
