  Man arrested for double shooting near Orange County home, deputies say Authorities arrested the suspect in a double shooting in east Orange County on Saturday. At 3:17 p.m., Orange County sheriff's deputies responded to the 3800 block of Lake Pickett Court for a shooting. Sign up for our Newsletters Two females were found with gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital. Investigators said their injuries are non-life threatening. Bryce Weir, 19, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, resisting an officer without violence and two counts of criminal mischief.

A Lake County deputy sheriff suffered minor injuries this morning after his patrol vehicle struck a tree and overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Deputy Darryl Pitcher Jr., 45, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, authorities said .

An Orange County deputy was treated for minor injuries after he allegedly crashed his vehicle early Tuesday morning, according to officials.

It happened at 3:54 a.m., according to the report. The deputy was responding to an emergency call for service while traveling on Powers Drive when he allegedly struck a power pole and fence at Postell's Mortuary.

Orange County Fire Rescue crews responded and treated the deputy on scene for minor

injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to investigate the crash and OUC responded to fix the power pole, officials said. The incident will be reviewed in accordance with Orange County Sheriff's Office policies pertaining to agency vehicle operations.

One in custody after chase ends in crash in Grady County, authorities say .
A person was taken into custody Monday morning after leading law enforcement officers on a chase and crashing into vehicles in Minco, according to authorities. According to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was traveling eastbound at about 7:15 a.m. Sign up for our Newsletters on Highway 37 east of Minco, when he saw a car pulled over in a field. The deputy went to check on the car, but the driver reversed, nearly hitting several vehicles, including a bus. The driver then took off at a high rate of speed, authorities said.
