Carolyn Court, 68, was charged Sunday in the shooting death of her husband, Ray Court, 66, at their home in the 4100 block of Barons Bridge Drive. According to prosecutors, the shooting happened “without provocation” around 11 a.m. when he arrived to pick up some belongings. A Burlington County man has been indicted on charges he sold fentanyl-laced heroin to a woman who subsequently died of an overdose on the drug, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced.

Terrance D. Walker, 37 of Pemberton, has been indicted on charges of first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death, third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.

He has been held in Burlington County Jail since his arrest, and the indictment was returned and signed on Jan. 9, according to authorities. An arraignment will be scheduled soon in Superior Court.

The case was investigated by the Pemberton Township Police Department, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force and the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's High-Tech Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Mount Holly Township Police Department. Walker will be prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Jeremy Lackey.
