A second student has died after being struck by a pickup truck Monday afternoon near Moore High School, Moore police announced Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers responded at about 3:30 p.m. Monday to a collision involving pedestrians near Moore High School, near Main Street and Eastern Avenue.

Police said a red pickup truck struck six students, killing one person on the scene, later identified as senior Rachel Freeman.

  One killed after vehicle hits six students near Moore High School, police say Police say one person has died after a vehicle struck six students near a high school in Oklahoma City. Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KOCO 5 that around 3:30 p.m. Monday, a red pickup truck hit the students near the school's field house area in the 1000 block of East Main Street, across from a duck pond. One of the students has died, and Lewis said the other students who were struck were taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Officials with OU Medical Center told KOCO 5 Tuesday morning that two students, Kolby Crum and Yuridia Martinez, were in critical condition. Police officials confirmed during a 11 a.m. news conference that Martinez has died from her injuries.

Two others, Joseph White and Shiloh Hutchinson, were said to be in fair condition.

Another victim, Ashton Baza, has been discharged from the hospital, according to hospital officials.

The driver, 57-year-old Max Leroy Townsend, was arrested on multiple complaints, including first-degree manslaughter.

A vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the large gym at Moore High School, officials with the school said.

5 Clarksburg High students arrested after handgun was brought to school .
Montgomery County police have arrested five Clarksburg High School students after a handgun and robbery on campus. A school resource officer, assigned to the Clarksburg High School, was notified around 1 p.m. Monday by an administrator that a 15-year-old student had been a victim of a robbery earlier that day, police said. The SRO had also received information from a witness that this victim had also brought a gun to the school, according to police.The SRO found the robbery victim during the school day and found a loaded handgun magazine while searching through the student's backpack, police said.
