  Police: Woman stole ambulance in Texas, caught in Louisiana A woman accused of stealing an ambulance in Texas was arrested after a police chase in Louisiana ended in a traffic jam. Kendall Tyson, 19, was located Sunday behind the wheel of the ambulance along Interstate 20 near Shreveport, Louisiana State Police Trooper First Class Brent Hardy said in a news release.

A citizen's call to Virginia Beach police got a stolen car off the streets on Tuesday.

Dispatchers received a call from a citizen before noon who said they were following behind a stolen vehicle.

The citizen continuously gave updates to police on the car's location leading officers right to the vehicle.

A police unit ended up finding the vehicle and followed it without turning on their emergency equipment. Another squad car followed as well and conducted a traffic stop on the car around 12:15 p.m.

The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was taken into custody. No other details were immediately available, including where the traffic stop took place.
