A body was found floating in Brays Bayou about 7:20 a.m. Friday, Sept 16, 2016, near Wheeler and Spur 5 not far from a car in the water in south Houston . The location is not far from where a car was seen in the water along North MacGregor Way, according to the Houston Fire Department.

A body that was recovered in Brays Bayou Wednesday morning is believed to have been in the water for several days, according to the Houston Police Department. Police received a call about the body in the bayou around 7:10 a.m. A dive team helped recover the body at the scene, at 5830 Old Spanish

A body was found Sunday in Brays Bayou near Calhoun Street and North MacGregor Way.

Houston police said someone fishing at the bayou found the body.

The discovery was made just south of the University of Houston campus.

A dive team retrieved the body.

It's not clear how the person died. Authorities also have not revealed the person's identity.
