  Woman who starved 3 horses back in Muskegon County court MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – A woman convicted of animal cruelty after three dead horses were found on her property is back in court after she violated probation by owning animals. Bobbi Jo VanKoevering, 43, has been charged with violating probation in the felony animal cruelty case. She pleaded no contest to abandonment/cruelty of between four and 10 animals in October 2019. She was sentenced to two months in jail and three years of probation, during which she is not to have any animals where she lives.On Jan. 13, VanKoevering’s probation officer filed a request that she be charged with violating probation by being in possession of animals.

An indictment filed in September charged Dragon Con co-founder Ed Kramer, Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge Kathryn Schrader, T.J. Ward and Frank Karic each with three counts of computer trespass. It said they illegally accessed the Gwinnett County Justice Center computer network in February 2019.

The three felony computer trespass charges filed against Schrader accuse her of giving a private investigator and his employees illegal access to the Gwinnett County computer network. All three of the counts were predicated on the same underlying actions, but each charge alleges a different outcome.

Count 1 claims Schrader’s actions resulted in data being “removed” from the Gwinnett network; Count 2 alleges the network was “interfered” with; and Count 3 alleges that network data was “altered.”

Earlier in the month, Kramer entered an Alford plea in the case. An Alford plea allows a person to maintain his innocence while carrying the consequences of a guilty verdict.

Karic agreed last month to enter a pretrial diversion program and Ward entered a plea deal and got two years of probation.
