SOMERS POINT, NJ — Five people were charged after a police raid into a Somers Point home for a marijuana-growing investigation. Police seized more than 30 marijuana plants, tents, lighting, chemicals and exhaust systems for growing the drug, according to Chief Robert Somers.

The search took place on the 600 block of 4th Street. Jonathon Millner, 42; Richard Heiler Jr., 34; and Lindsey Smith, 24 — all Somers Point residents — were charged with manufacturing and distributing drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana.

Zarchary Roberts, 25, of Marmora, and Michael Jones Jr., 25, of Egg Harbor Township, were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Each was released on a summons pending court, Somers said.
