CAMDEN – Two city men have been indicted in connection with the slaying of a Medford woman whose body was found in a Camden park.

Luis Colon-Molina, 36, and Wilfredo Boulones-Cruz, 50, are accused of killing 31-year-old Hayley Steinberg, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

The men allegedly attacked Steinberg after she came to their home in the city’s Liberty Park neighborhood, court records say.

Steinberg's body, with multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma, was found around noon Dec. 2 in Farnham Park in the Parkside neighborhood.

One hour before her body was found, Colon-Molina and Boulones-Cruz were in a vehicle that ran out of gas on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the prosecutor's office said in a statement Friday.

Delaware River Port Authority police helped push the car into Camden, then arrested the men when they tried to run away, the statement said.

“Police found a large amount of blood in the vehicle,” the prosecutor’s office noted.

It said the Mercedes-Benz had belonged to Steinberg’s late mother and the daughter was known to drive it.

Surveillance video showed Steinberg driving the vehicle to the suspects’ home on the 1500 block of South 7th Street around 1 p.m. on Dec. 1, the statement said.

Additional video showed the Mercedes-Benz, with Steinberg's body lying on the back seat, entering the leaving Farnham Park about two hours later.

Steinberg’s body was found in a wooded area of the park on the 1600 block of Baird Boulevard.

"She had numerous long lacerations and bruising about her face," said a probable cause statement for the suspects' arrest. “A bent kitchen knife with what appeared to be blood on it was found next to her body."

Both men were indicted on charges that include murder, felony murder, armed robbery and carjacking, the prosecutor’s office said.

Each also faces weapons charges.
