  More dead crows discovered behind Price Chopper in Middletown More than four dozen crows were found deceased behind several businesses in the Wallkill Town Center on Schutt Road just a few weeks ago. Price Chopper tells News 12 that the State Department of Environmental Conservation has already visited the scene previously, and are coming back in a few days to try to find out the cause of the deaths.MORE: Dozens of dead crows found behind popular Wallkill shopping plazaIn January,  a DEC spokesperson told News 12 they were, "initially notified about a number of dead crows at this location on Jan. 9, 2020.

Two people were found dead Saturday night in a Missouri City home after a suspect shot at a police officer responding to a 911 call at the residence.

Officers were dispatched around 6:40 p.m. to the 1100 block of Mesa Verde, where one officer was confronted by an armed man who began shooting at law enforcement outside the home, said Missouri City Police Department Lt. Russell Terry.

Police told KOCO 5 the calling party reported that they had found a white female dead inside a home in the 10100 block of Island View Drive. The woman has been identified as Candace Muzny. Sign up for our Newsletters Muzny was a former race car driver who was charged in January in connection with an assault at a metro-area nail salon. An employee at the nail salon said Muzny threatened her and attacked her after the employee spoke to her boss in Vietnamese.Police said Muzny also assaulted a police officer during the incident.

The officer fired back, striking the suspect, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators called the deaths suspicious. The identities of the victims have not been released as of Sunday morning.

It’s unclear if the suspect is related to the victims.

Body with gunshot wound found near apartments in southwest Houston .
Police are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found dead in a grassy area near an apartment complex Sunday morning. The body was discovered sometime after 8 a.m. in the 8400 block of West Bartell Drive in southwest Houston. Houston police responded to the scene and spoke with witnesses that said there was some sort of altercation up the street. The victim got into an argument with someone inside a vehicle, witnesses said. The other person opened fire on the victim who was truck. He then ran from the scene before collapsing in the grassy area he was found.Police are checking surveillance video in the area to see what was caught on camera.ALSO POPULAR ON KHOU.
