  Tessa Majors case: 14-year-old boy arrested for stabbing death A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for the stabbing death of Barnard College freshman Tessa Majors in New York City, police and prosecutors said Saturday. The boy faces two counts of murder in the second degree, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance told reporters. He was arrested Friday night, police said.Majors, 18, was walking in Manhattan's Morningside Park near Barnard College on December 11 when she was attacked, NYPD said. She was a freshman at the college."Sadly, it cannot bring back this young woman, this student, this victim," NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said.

DENVER (CBS4) – Denver police say a man died early Sunday morning. Officers responded to the 2100 block of Xavier Street near Evans Avenue.

They say this investigation is now a homicide after two people were involved some kind of disturbance.

They say the suspect, Dominic Valdez, 36, stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim died at the hospital.

Police arrested Valdez on a second degree murder charge.

One Dead, One Arrested After Federal Boulevard Stabbing .
Police arrested a 42-year-old man late Saturday morning after his alleged involvement in a fatal stabbing hours earlier. A Twitter message released by the Denver Police Department at 10:14 p.m. Friday said its officers were at the scene of a stabbing at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Iowa Avenue. An adult male was taken to a local hospital with what were at that time described as serious injuries. However, a follow-up message five hours later said the man had passed away. At 10:19 a.m. Saturday, DPD stated that Legacy Amin had been arrested on a First Degree Murder charge.
