Atlanta Police Officer Anthony Grant said the incident happened in the 2700 block of Argyle Drive, N.W., at about 8:55 p.m. When officers arrived, they said they found 28-year-old Darryl Gunnison suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Against the advice of local, state, and national authorities concerned about the spread of the coronavirus, a crowd of people gathered in the parking lot of the Lakes Mall in Lauderdale Lakes Sunday night and when they dispersed Monday morning, a man and woman had been fatally shot, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Indonesian volcano spews massive ash cloud

Indonesian volcano spews massive ash cloud Indonesia's most active volcano Mount Merapi erupted Friday, shooting a column of ash some 5,000 metres (16,000 feet) into the air in its second major eruption this month. Ash and sand covered areas several kilometres (miles) away from the peak of the rumbling crater near Indonesia's cultural capital Yogyakarta.

Instagram video from a user named Skreetstv shows two bodies on the ground outside a car in the parking lot. The video is shot from a moving car and a voice is heard saying, “Bro, they just shot somebody dead, bro…oh, they shot a girl. The girl is dead, too.”

The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities have notified the victims’ families but withheld the victims’ names citing Marsy’s privacy laws.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Kevin Forsberg told WFOR-Ch.4 this was preventable.

“If people would adhere to the local elected officials’ orders to stay at home and not come out, this probably would have been avoided,” Forsberg said.
