An Iowa sheriff was jailed on charges of domestic abuse and assault . He was admitted to Webster County Jail, according to jail staff. He has since been released on bond. A police report states several officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Main Street in Manson at around 10:28 p.m. for a domestic disturbance.

Officers heard the victim yell “Get off me,” according to an incident report. Officers say she was pinned down to a bed by Anderson.

Three officers struggled to subdue Anderson while trying to put cuffs on him for several minutes, according to court documents. While in cuffs, Anderson head-butted a Manson police officer and put a hole in a wall with his head, according to police reports.

It took six officers to remove Anderson from the home while he was in cuffs, and police reports indicate he resisted the entire time and would not walk or stand while being placed into a cruiser.
