  New Kensington mom charged with manslaughter in death of 3-year-old Mikel Fetterman A New Kensington woman was arrested Wednesday after her 3-year-old son died of suspected abuse. Teresa Fetterman, 23, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, two counts of aggravated assault on a child and other charges. Her son, Mikel Fetterman, died in April after what police suspected was abuse. Mikel spent almost a month in the pediatric intensive care unit at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh after he was found unresponsive on the 1100 block of 5th Avenue. Keith Lilly Jr., 31, of New Kensington was arrested April 3 in connection with the incident.

Covington police arrested a Northern Kentucky man Wednesday night on child porn charges, according to police documents.

Justin Fussinger, 35, was charged with possessing and viewing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.

Fort Thomas Independent Schools confirmed Fussinger is a special education teacher at Samuel Woodfill Elementary.

  2 in custody after girl dies playing with pistol at Bartow County campsite Deputies are investigating the death of a girl who they say shot herself playing with a pistol at a Bartow County campsite. The girl’s grandmother and a man have been charged.The Bartow County Sheriff’s Department said they responded around 8:30 p.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting at the Chitwood Cove campsite. People at the scene took the child from the site and met up with law enforcement and EMS up the road.Officials rushed the girl to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The child’s name and age have not been released.

“Every defendant accessing child pornography is cause for concern,” Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Sanders said. “But one with direct access to children is extremely alarming.”

Fussinger was arrested at 6 p.m. Wednesday. He bonded out of Kenton County Jail at 9:30 p.m. on a $2,500 bond.

Warrant: Police find remains of second child in yard .
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The remains of a second child that belonged to a Tennessee couple facing abuse charges have been found buried in a yard, court records said. A search warrant affidavit says police recovered the remains of a boy from a Knox County property where Michael and Shirley Gray lived until about 2016, news outlets reported on Friday. Police began searching the property after finding the body of a girl buried under a barn at the Gray's current home in nearby Roane County.
