Suzanne Morphew, 49, disappeared after going on a bike ride on Mother’s Day.Local media saw the FBI, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office at the property on the Arkansas River near Salida, sifting through dirt for the missing woman all day Friday.They said the search was “based on information developed during the Suzanne Morphew missing person case,” Fox 21 Colorado Springs reported.

Brittany Gorman was reported missing after her pickup truck was found May 20 at Buck Hollow on the Jacks Fork River. Items found at the scene indicated that the 29-year-old might have been injured, according to a news release from the Texas County Sheriff's Office.

Through a joint investigation, law enforcement arrested suspect Dylan Hanger on May 30. The 28-year-old suspect allegedly led investigators to a location in Mark Twain National Forest in Ozark County where human remains believed to be Gorman's were found.

Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens plans to charge Hanger with second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to the news release.

Hanger is being held in the Texas County Jail without bond.

“The tragic outcome of this investigation is not what I had hoped and prayed for since Brittany was reported missing," Sheriff Scott Lindsey said via a news release. "I want to commend the investigative team of Deputies, National Park Service Special Agents and Rangers, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators and surrounding law enforcement agencies that worked extensively over (the) past ten days to find Brittany and ultimately seek justice upon her behalf. I am also thankful to the public for providing information to the investigative team throughout this process.”

Missing Nebraska inmate arrested at Lincoln restaurant .
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Police arrested at a Lincoln restaurant an inmate who had walked away from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln, authorities said. Viet Tran was found Monday night and taken to the prison system’s Diagnostic and Evaluation Center, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said. Tran has served about eight years of a 13- to 26-year sentence for multiple convictions in Lancaster County, including theft by deception and disturbing the peace, the Lincoln Journal Star reported.Inmates at Community Corrections Center-Lincoln are permitted to work, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
