Crime Tampa Detectives Investigate 2 Shootings Of 5 People; 1 Dead
2 dead, 5 wounded at block party that drew up to 1,000 people
The shooting occurred outside Union, South Carolina.The shooting broke out just before 8 p.m. on Saturday in an unincorporated area about nine miles outside Union, South Carolina, after the Union County Sheriff's Department responded to a complaint of vehicles blocking a roadway, Major Scott Coffer told ABC News on Sunday.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Police detectives are investigating two separate shootings Monday night and early Tuesday morning that left one person dead and a woman clinging to life.
Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, three people were riding in a car near 22nd Street and Cayuga Street when shots were fired from a second car, striking all three people.
The victims drove to the parking lot of the Tampa Police Department District 3 office on 22nd Street where officers rendered aid.
Suspect arrested in February Dorchester murder
Jose Carrucini was charged Saturday with allegedly shooting and killing 21-year-old Admilson Ribiero on Feb. 5. During the initial incident, police reportedly found Ribiero suffering from apparent gunshot wounds around 6:28 p.m. near 149 Magnolia St. He was taken to an area hospital, officers said, where he died from his injuries. Carrucini is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Tuesday, May 26, officers said. UPDATE: Murder suspect in custody.
All three were transported to the hospital where one of the victims died.
This shooting also does not appear to be random, detectives said.
Then, at 2:59 a.m., Tampa Police responded to a report of shots heard near the 300 block of East Emily Street and found an unoccupied white Nissan crashed at East Emily Street and North Avon Avenue.
A woman was found shot nearby and a man was found at a home in the 300 block of East Emily Street with a gunshot wound. Both victims were reportedly in the white Nissan at the time of the shooting. They were transported to a nearby hospital where the woman is listed in critical condition.
Police were told that the shooters fled the scene in a Toyota Tundra.
At 3:30 a.m., patrol officers attempted to stop a car matching that description at East Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive. The driver refused to pull over and attempted to flee. After a brief pursuit, the police stopped the car and took the three occupants into custody near the 1200 block of East Busch Boulevard.
Detectives said these shootings also do not appear to be random.
