  Woman sought for torching Atlanta Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks was killed A 29-year-old woman has been identified as a suspect in setting fire to the Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta where police shot and killed Rayshard Brooks a week ago, the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department said on Saturday. Investigators have issued an arrest warrant for Natalie White on suspicion of arson in the first degree, the fire department said in a statement.

A man accused of setting fire to a Chicago police vehicle during protests over police misconduct will be held in custody until trial. Katie Johnston reports.

A man is facing a number of charges after police say he tried to set an officer’s marked police cruiser on fire.

On Sunday, authorities said an off-duty Brookhaven police officer was in the parking deck at Town Brookhaven around 9 a.m. when he noticed a man pulling the door handles of his cruiser while holding a 5-gallon gasoline canister.

The officer then detained the man, later identified as 28-year-old Spencer Vaughn Klene, until other officers arrived.  

Police said in addition to the gas canister, officers found paper towels and a lighter on Klene.

Klene was taken to the DeKalb County jail and is facing felony charges of criminal attempt to commit arson, criminal attempt to commit interreference with government property and misdemeanor charges of loitering and prowling and public drunkenness.

A police officer is set alight by a protester during demonstrations over the death of a man in police custody in The Governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, confirmed that the burnt officer was injured in the protest along with Twenty-six people were arrested while three patrol cars were reportedly burnt out.
